TEAMWORK!!!!!

The law of supply and demand showed itself in the classroom today
DEMAND WAS HIGH AND SUPPLY WAS LOW
in regards to the waffle blocks. Then the suggestion came - put all
the blocks on the table and work together.
The result was a HUGE rectangle.
GO TEAMWORK!!!

We also learned how to paint with sponges by
using black paint on orange paper to make our
October Placemats.

Have a great weekend.

A Typical Day...

First thing we do when we get to school is
our "morning work."

We color and cut.

And we play with things that will increase
our fine motor dexterity.

Later in the day, we have snack!
Today we had apples with three different things to dip
them in. Yummy!

fun from down under

We spent some time learning about Austraila and the
things that make it so unique.
It took two days to make our musical digeradoos!
One day to make them all brown....

and one day to decorate them!

We also learned about kangaroos, joeys, and koala bears.
We know what makes an animal a marsupial!

Throughout the week, we also learned more about one another
by playing together.

Friends are GOOD!

JUNIOR PALEONTOLOGISTS!

On Tuesday, we had our very own Dinosaur Dig! The children worked together and carefully to excavate all of the bones and dinosaurs hidden under the sand. They all were so excited to find a piece of our puzzle.

DIG, DIG, DIG

Finally, the treasures we were looking for begin to appear!

Then back to the classroom for some fine motor work and more play at the sand table.

Rocks, mud and fossils!

We continue our discovery of dinosaurs this week.
Yesterday we made some fossils and today we painted with mud!
First though, we had to make some. It's easy since there are only 2 ingredients
and then of course, you need a room full of three year olds ready and willing
to STIR.

Then it was time to paint!

We also had the chance to see and touch some real fossils.

IT WAS A GOOD DAY:)

THE END OF THE FIRST WEEK

The Science Shelves seem to be a favorite. Everyone loves being able to actually
touch and hold the items on display.

We have a "Dinosaur Egg" that we are watching and waiting to hatch.
We will have to wait until Monday to see if anything happened
while we were gone!

On our way to the playground, we stopped to hang a bird feeder
outside our window. Maybe we can get some of our feathered
friends to come visit!

The 1st day of school!

Our first day of school was a pretty good one.
We played together, making new friends. Though we did have a
few tears to start the day,

we ended the day with smiles

and even some funny faces!
