QUEEN OF HEARTS

Here we are making our Valentines Day pins for the Queen of OUR Hearts....our Mommy!!!  These were a lot of fun to make and were to be a secret.  Some of our students told us they told Mommy what they made but they told her is was a secret!!!

We also learned a new game!  Ask your children about The Queen of Hearts.  They should be able to tell you all about her and her tarts!  The game is to find the tarts around the room that have been hidden and bring them back to the queen!

LOVE BUGS!!!

We had so much fun making our Love Bugs out of our different shapes.  A favorite part of ours were the different colored eyes with the eyelashes!  If you get a chance, swing by the classroom and check out the bulletin board in the hallway.  If not, no fear, they will come home at the end of the month.

BEAD BRACELETS!!!

The girls decided we needed to make bracelets and the boys agreed that could be fun so we did it!  Of course, Mrs. Knudsen thought it would be really great to work those fine motor skills some more!!!

GROUNDHOG DAY!!!

This month we learned all about the Groundhog and what his importance is with our weather!  We painted our sun's that went along with our Groundhog's that we brought home.  Mrs. Southard didn't realize it, but she didn't get a picture of the finished project!  But just in case you were wondering...the Groundhog didn't see his shadow so it should be an EARLY SPRING!!!  WOOHOO!!!!

SCIENCE LAB #1 AND SNOW!!!

Our first Science Lab of the year was a HUGE success!  We learned all about measurement!  We weighed ourselves, measured how tall we were and we even took our rulers all around the classroom and measured how long things were.

A special treat to our science lab was using the correct measurements to make SNOW!!!!  We thought that was really cool!!!
