PLAYGROUND, PAINTING AND PIRATES

Finally it's feeling more like fall and that makes the playground an extra fun place to be. We are working on our cooperation and "playing together" skills.
The playground is also the best place to work on our large muscles. Climb, climb, climb!

Making friends is the best thing ever!!!!
During our trip to the YMCA Pumpkin Patch, the face painting was a high point.

Nothing beats a visit from a pirate and his real pirate ship. He even invited us to come aboard!

Halloween Fun and Firemen

With Halloween quickly approaching, we've been busy with spooky projects. From cotton ball ghosts to clay pumpkins, we are working our tiny finger muscles while we create some Halloween decorations!

Learning to roll clay into a ball is a great skill to know.

We enjoyed the visit from the fire fighters. They talked to us about fire safety and showed us some of the fire equipment. Some of us even went inside the firetruck!

A BIG THANK-YOU TO THE FIRE FIGHTERS OF WILMINGTON ISLAND!

IT'S TIME FOR FALL!

Our color for the month is orange. Here we are practicing holding a paint brush.
This is a fun
pre-writing skill.

Fall also brings on the changing colors of leaves. Here we are making our own Fall trees using multi- colored triangles, our shape of the month, as leaves.

 More triangles and painting techniques.

We absolutely love the puppets!

Unlike the weather, nothing says FALL like a snack of donuts and apple juice.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!

We each have our own special place at circle where we sit and practice our listening skills daily.

Outside on the playground, we get to run and play wherever we want - as long as it's inside the fence.

Practicing balancing skills of all kinds is so much fun.
