TEAMWORK - PLAYING, WORKING and GROWING TOGETHER

One of the most important skills we work on fostering is cooperation, in both play and work. In order for us to play together and to work together to complete a task, we must learn to compromise and cooperate with one another. This is NOT a trait bestowed naturally on we humans, as we come into the world very "ME" oriented.
Working together, goals are more easily accomplished, like the completion of these floor puzzles.
Helping the teachers cut pieces of plastic into small pieces for a project fosters cooperation and the gift of helping others.
And of course, the simple act of playing together is really so much more than plain old fun. It fosters and teaches the very things that make us good human beings. Play is child's work and what helps make them the people they become.

St. Patrick's Fun

Getting ready for WIPP's annual St. Patrick's Day parade. The coldest morning thus far in 2017, found us all bundled up in as much green as possible.  A big thanks to Michal's family for the use of their trailer for our class float!
Classmates sitting together enjoying the warmth of the sun on such a chilly day.
 Pre-St. Patrick's Day crafts.
If you look hard, you can see that one of the children has spelled out his name in pretzels!!!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day from Ariel - our class dog!

DONUTS WITH DADDY

Our annual Donuts with Daddy was a huge success!
We "prettied" up our classroom with table cloths and flowers and made sure there were plenty of yummy breakfast snacks for everyone to enjoy.
When the daddies arrived, we were ready to spend some precious extra moments with them before they were off to go to work.
We even were a little extra loving to our friends!
