DINOSAUR AND OTHER SCHOOL FUN STUFF

We spent a lot of time learning about dinosaurs, how they lived and that there are no more left.

Here we are making our own dinosaur fossils while working our fine motor muscles.

It was great fun having our own volcano in class and watching it explode. We did it over and over again!

We stopped for a moment to get a quick group picture with our friend, Tony T-Rex!

Of course, we all love playground time, but there's lots of playing to be done inside too. Remember, your child is learning so many life skills through the play they do at school - cooperation, kindness, courtesy, appropriateness, and so many more. It warms my heart when I see a child grow from screaming to get their way to using their words to explain what they would like. These types of skills will allow them to go far in life.

I would also like to thank all of those who signed up to provide healthy snack. We have found they really love being in charge of snack on a given day and it offers an opportunity for the children to feel responsible for something that makes others happy.

WEEK ONE 2017 - Learning about school

Our first week of school was full of lots of learning about our new classroom and how it works.

We met new friends and played together with the classroom toys!

We learned the class rules and helped one another when it was clean-up time.

First thing, every morning, we sit at the tables and work with smaller toys to help strengthen the tiny muscles in our fingers. We also practice our pencil grip and cutting skills.

During project time, we practice following directions and we work on developing our creativity.
School is full of so many fun things to do everyday!
