IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME IN THE CLASSROOM

During December, we continue to work on our patience, turn-taking and fine motor skills in both our daily projects and other table activities.

Cinnamon ornaments make our room smell like Christmas.

Christmas ornaments require a lot of glue, glitter and hard work.

Practicing our program songs with the other 3 year old classes and Miss Kathleen.
Our classroom Christmas Tree is looking good!

PEACEFUL PILGRIMS!

Working on those small finger muscles is soooo important and something preschooler should be doing everyday. There are lots of ways to achieve this, including using golf tees and styrofoam!
 We love to paint!
Here we are ready to walk over and sing for our families. What a wonderful group of Pilgrims!

What a wonderful job we did at our first real program for the year!

HALLOWEEN FUN

Halloween is a big time at WIPP. The children love coming to school all dressed up for trick-or-treating and showing off their costumes to their friends.
Every year we walk over to Summer Breeze, the assisted living home located behind the school, to sing Halloween songs and trick-or-treat. It is an event that is looked forward by all.

Here we are getting ready to sing our Halloween songs.
And then comes the children's favorite part - TRICK-OR-TREATING!

A huge thank you to the wonderfully generous people of Summer Breeze!

PLAYGROUND, PAINTING AND PIRATES

Finally it's feeling more like fall and that makes the playground an extra fun place to be. We are working on our cooperation and "playing together" skills.
The playground is also the best place to work on our large muscles. Climb, climb, climb!

Making friends is the best thing ever!!!!
During our trip to the YMCA Pumpkin Patch, the face painting was a high point.

Nothing beats a visit from a pirate and his real pirate ship. He even invited us to come aboard!
