This month we learned all about the Groundhog and what his importance is with our weather! We painted our sun's that went along with our Groundhog's that we brought home. Mrs. Southard didn't realize it, but she didn't get a picture of the finished project! But just in case you were wondering...the Groundhog didn't see his shadow so it should be an EARLY SPRING!!! WOOHOO!!!!

SCIENCE LAB #1 AND SNOW!!!
Our first Science Lab of the year was a HUGE success! We learned all about measurement! We weighed ourselves, measured how tall we were and we even took our rulers all around the classroom and measured how long things were.
A special treat to our science lab was using the correct measurements to make SNOW!!!! We thought that was really cool!!!

BIRD FEEDERS
We really have been working on strengthening our hand muscles and our fine motor skills this week. Yesterday we practiced by spreading the cream cheese on the snowmen and picking up the small pieces of raisins and chocolate chips to make the face. Today we created a bird feeder. we used them by spreading out the peanut butter on our bagels and then dipping them in the bird seed. What kind of birds did your bird feeder attract?
SNOWMAN PROJECT AND SNACK
Our project was to make a snowman....but we ATE HIM!!!! Our Snowmen were made out of Rice Cakes, Cream Cheese, Carrots, Raisins and Chocolate Chips. Everyone enjoyed their project and snack!
